    Defender drone power gains
Ok, so the game DOES know which drones laid out to defend space belong to whom. Why is it that we gain power from attacking and destroying defender drones, but our defender drones, which are linked to us, don't generate power for us when they fight the pesky attacker drones?

Shouldn't we gain equal power from opposition drones destroyed by our drones regardless of if we are the attacker or defender?

I, having lost tens of thousands of drones this cycle, agree with this message!

generally, because it would allow someone else to arbitrarily affect your power and alignment.

However, that is the risk we take by chosing to act as drone warriors in a war. If someone feels that this would suddenly pose a problem, they can funnel their drones to other society members.

AND When it comes down to attacking in order to take over, I have never heard a player say. 'Oh no, I can't help clear those drones because that society's drones will adversely affect my alignment.'

NEVER have heard that or similar objection in planning chats.

So I continue to think it is actually only fair that defense drones generate power for the attack drones they destroy on an equal basis of attacker drones generating power.

As someone who also has lost tens and tens of thousands of drones this cycle, It's annoying me to NOT get even arbitrary power gains from it. I'd still only get either evil or chaos. you never wind up losing power in a drone attack, you just don't know which of your society's two you'll get in advance.

There was quite a lot of discussion about this subject when power gains for drone warfare was first instituted, and I recall that the idea of defender drones generating power was very unpopular. However, I'm willing to open it up for discussion again.

keep in mind that there may be technical/db performance reasons that preclude such a change. I'll look into that.
