  Mutiny Message
  Seems like the game ought to send you a message when a mutiny makes you the leader, or kicks you out of the leadership of a syndicate.

  I think you get a message when someone resigns and puts you as leader, though

  If you're not paying enough attention to your syndicate to realize it's under mutiny why should it bother to tell you when you loose it ... after all if you know it's under mutiny you shouldn't need the message.

  What if you are the one who wins leadership, but you don't know because someone else nominated you?

  I turned on all notices and won a mutiny. I got the notice that there had been a mutiny, but nothing specifically saying I was the one who had one (of course I instigated it so maybe the game assumes you know about it if you start it).
  If that's as it should be, then it's working fine.
