This is a strange creature evolved from a genetic mutation of a Tnuctipun Sunflower that was caught up in a wormhole and sent back in time, its descendants finally landing in a small field on the planet Solaris. Mutated Sunflowers are generally not co-operative with either each other or anyone else, so are far less dangerous than their predecessors (or descendants, if you do the math - time travel is so weird that way), but they can still pack a wallop in one-on-one confrontations. Sunny devotees pick the adolescent Sunflowers before they grow a personality and use them as weapons and as decoration.
