Heh... so I posted a bunch of semi-personal overwrought explanatory nonsense, that I doubt anyone cares much about + may have bothered some people by rehashing drama from last cycle. Fuck drama... fuck drama in it's little drama hole. ;)
So, I deleted all that, and, don't care to argue. Right now I'm just trying to help with getting a decent Oddie team to come together, work together, and have a good time playing the game, while hopefully giving the other teams a run for their money. Er, starbux.
She's not the poobah this round. Daydream Vick is. For those who don't know her Vick has been true blue for a very long time and there very little if any chance of her pulling a switch.
I'm not sure about if I might or might not switch, but I can assure you I will stay blue and not work for the other side. <I'm a Madonna fan after all.. ya know True Blue and all that.> And as long as I can keep ahead of the game in power and don't space out. consecrate gives you bonuses? which version do you play? in 3.5 it just gives you a bonus to turning undead and some penalties to the undead...
BTW, we killed one Beholder on our last session (standard from the Monster Manual, CL 13, DC 17 for all the saves)... if only cause it was our mission to kill him so I (cleric) prepared a bunch of owl's wisdom, bear's endurance spells and scrolls, prayer, bless, death wards and so on... most of us had to roll 1 or 2 to fail on our saving throws, I had 16 on fort and will so I couldn't :D
but if we'd met him without being buffed to the max, or if he had more minions around, we'd be goners for sure... I hate those things!
I was playing V4, but I might be thinking of Bless, whichever - it gives +2 to +5 to attack rolls, which as a big, dumb Goliath fighter is really useful since I basically run up to monsters, challenge them and then stand there hitting them until they're dead while the magic-throwers do their thing.
We've had like 6 Beholders in our campaign, some of which worked with us (one helped us wipe out the entire Goliath race, which was a bit confusing for me) and some against us. One ate my magic flail and blew up my magic Plate armor (I managed to roll 2 ones in a row when I tried to hit him with my "All Bets are Off".) bleh, I hates 'em too. Bastard cost me +2 attack and +2 AC for the rest of the campaign.
