The Squiffle Report - 23:08 UTC Feb 18, 3010 A number of asteroids have changed hands. The Lummies now have 15 asteroids in total, and the Oddies have 14. The ES are up to 5. The interesting story there is that they no longer have a block in the bottom right corner of the map. The Nimbyite in 1053 now belongs to the Lummies, while the Lolnium in 1009 is now neutral. So what happened ? Well, everyone's keeping very quiet, but I did hear the word "Retaliation" from the Lummie camp.
Other than that, the Lummies have gained 245, 252, and 845 and lost or given up 448. So they now only have one Omg but two Afaikt and Lolnium. Still no Rofol or Tanst. The Oddies picked up 358, 474, 476, and 477 and lost or gave up 547, 551 and 845. So that's a trade of Pebk and Imho, a gain of a Lolnium and Omg. The Bofho that the Lummies gained came from the Oddies, with the question being whether it was a gift or not. So now the Lummies and Oddies each have two Bofho, and the ES have one. The ES picked up 56, 850, 954, and 1023, giving them 2 Rofol, and Omg and an Aaikt in addition to their Bofho.
There are still plenty of unclaimed asteroids out there, including the group of four.
For the shoppers among you, Leroy Tong has followed Jork and his store is now also under Lummie protection. That leaves just Syawillim in sector 502 still neutral.
It's clear that the Lummie takeover of 1053 wasn't friendly, because there's still an ES mining facility in 1053. The Lummies have a fairly substantial drone manufacturing base. It'll be interesting to see whether they get facility-bombed, as they have four sectors with 24 or more facilities.
And it looks like it's taken me so long to write this that I've missed my chance to take a look around Oddie space tomorrow, so that will have to wait a bit.
